:: Moving Days
Well, it's about 12:30am, and I am taking a break from packing. We make the big move to Lakeville over the next couple days - the majority of moving on Saturday. I had to fly the last three days, and my Mrs. Pierre is pulling double-duty at work because one of her co-workers go fired. That leaves it up to me to pack, like almost everything. I have basically one day to do it...tomorrow. Friday has been consumed with a meeting, so maybe we will pull an "all-nighter" for the final preps.
So, I just fixed myself a bowl of rice....that's all, other than a little soy sauce. See, we have *no* food other than what we have dubbed the "Pantry Smorgasbord". I have already called "dibs" on the tuna for lunch tomorrow. Oooo - I also found a No-Name Steak in the back of the freezer too...she's thawing out for breakfast tomorrow. Let's see what else we have:
Doritos (stale)
Taco shells
beans
corn
rice
baked beans
meatballs
perogis
blintzes
popsicles
diet coke
ginger ale
water
2 eggs
oatmeal
...and I am sure there is more. The goal here is to eliminate as much of this crap before the move. It's a damn shame I can walk to either Chipotle or Culvers tomorrow for lunch. Heh heh.

:: Welcome Pyrodevil to the Blogroll

Please welcome Andy (pyrodevil) to the Meggisi Blogroll. His website/blog is in it's beggining stages of becoming a good blog.
Andy is the future of blogging - as an eight grader, he has the wherewithal to be extremely comuter savvy. Every time I see him (my wife used to be his nanny), he has written a new video game complete with 3-D graphics and sound and...well everything you would expect a video game to have. Just to think, when I was his age, Nintendo was huge...just getting huge in fact. Much to my surprise, I was playing one of his new games tonight (one he recently wrote about devil-demon posessed foxes - the animal that is - that you have to shoot and their demon-leader spaceships that try and kill you) when between levels 3 and 4 I heard a techno-pop version of the "Legend of Zelda" theme song. Remember Link?! Keep up the good work, Andy - er, I mean pyrodevil!!

:: Happy Birthday to No One's Home
I would be remiss if I did not post a nice Happy Birthday message to one of my closest blogoshpere aquaintences...even though I have never met her. No One's Home is one of Meggisi's residents on the blogroll, and the blog turned 1 year old today! "hot babe", author/co-owner of the blog posted a nice list of things about her blog she has reaped from blogging experience in the last year. In kind, I think I should finally post a list - in honor of h.b. and N.O.H:
1. This is the first list Meggisi has ever done. Popular by many bloggers, h.b. and NOH has the best lists
2. hot babe does have a real first name...it's Jennifer. Also she has a last name, which I think starts with an F, but if she knew how I figured this out, she would a) think I was a psycho stalker, and b) become dramatically embarrassed abut it and rant on her blog about it, and c) hopefully not think (a) for real and privately email me to ask what the heck...
3. She has a ton of posts with an audio blog...something that makes NOH unique. She even has played games with her audience with it.
4. She reveals a ton of stuff about herself on NOH. But now that we can HEAR her VOICE in the audio posts, the mystery still remains in many things about hb. (Jennifer, I never told you...I love your voice!)
5. hb is a law student...something that I think is pretty interesting, because...
6. I have no idea how the hell she can study! The woman has a rich social life, huge blog fanbase, and a weakness for Kate Spade and chocolate
7. I have always expected to bump into hb at the Starbucks by my home...no luck yet.
8. Her birthday is the same as my Dad's...but I didn't know until this year...maybe I will remember next yr
9. I read her blog everyday I can...I even have it on rss feed!
10. She reads my blog, and comments on it...one of like maybe five people. That makes her truly a Hot Babe (with capital letters) Thanks, Jennifer!
