:: Pierre vs. Sven
| vs. |
So, the plan is to launch a new blog soon that will be dedicated to lakevilleweather.com. I got the idea from Sven Sundgaard, the new 25-yr-old sensation meteorologist on KARE-11 TV in Minneapolis. (hey h.b., I think you should hook up with Sven!) He is running a blog on KARE-11's website about himself and the weather. Everyone is loving Sven...he is the true hometown kid too, much like Dave Dahl of KSTP-TV fame.
But I am a hometown kid too...my parents like to tell stories about when I was little and would be facinated by Dennis Feltgen (Dahl's predecessor, now with the NWS) pointing out weather on the big maps and talking about "lows" and "highs". In true little-kid fashion I guess I used to act out my own weather reports, but instead talking about "low-high winds!" Pierre will give Sven a run for his money soon on the lakevilleweather blog. (I love writing in thrid-person...haha!) Check back for the link!

:: My Best (site) Referrals
I am on an ongoing quest to get traffic to the lakevilleweather.com website. Google is being a pain in the ass, as I have submitted my site map twice now in the span of about ten days, and they still haven't crawled it. In contrast, MSN and Yahoo! list me right off the bat, so who the hell knows.
However, I have my best referals so far from my friends in the blogosphere...particularly hot babe who has kindly added a link to her blogroll that goes right to lakevilleweather.com. Jen, thanks again for being a loyal visitor! I visit your site as well...even if my comment activity has been lacking, I am there!

:: Lakeville Weather
What has Pierre been up to? Other than the protracted contract negotiations at the airline, spring weather has returned to Minnesota. In preparation for severe weather season, we invested into an actual "professional" weather station:
Behold! The Davis Vantage Pro2 Wireless weather station! In the picture above, you can get a pretty good view of the station perched atop my home in Lakeville. The station has sensors for wind direction, wind speed, temp, humidity, and rain. The sensors transmit wirelessly to the station console in my office, where the data is displayed live with an update every second. But wait...there is more!!!
Above is a screenshot of my new website, lakevilleweather.com Here you will find LIVE weather from my weather station, as well as radar, satellite, charts, severe weather info, data, statistics, records, you name it! And, yes, those are Google Ads at the bottom of the screen. Why not? Maybe Pierre can make some money with one of his hobbies?
Anyway, have a safe, enjoyable spring! This week is Severe Weather Awareness Week in Minnesota. Check back to ol' meggisi.org/lakevilleweather.com to get the latest weather information and warnings!
